PO T/L:2900 S~T~ ADDRESS: 7803 BARBARA Llq $~, ATIMSVILL~ OR 5732~ An evaluation has been wade of the above described property proposed for installation of an on-site sewage disposal system. As a result of that investigation, it has been determined that the site specified on your applies~ %ion does not quali~y for a standard septic system or any of the alternative syste~. The conditions on the site ~ ~ot meet the minimum requirements oi the DeDartmen~ of Environmental Quali~y On-Site Sewage Disposal Rules. These rule~ are ~pecified in 0reqon Administrative Rules, Chapter 340, Division Sections 100 through 600. Conseg%~ently, this site must be denied. The principal reasons for denial of chis site are related to setback and separation distances. The followiE~J paragraphs outline the specific reasons for this denial~ PARCEL SIZE AND EET~ACKS: 1. There is insuffici~t area on the proper$y for installation o~ an approved on-site septic system which will meet the setbacks as reg0aired i~ the D.B,Q. rules. The setbacks which are of particular concern are clrcled on the attached sheet. Each lot or parcel mus~ have sufficient usable area available to accommodate an initial and ~eplacement septi~ system. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: The proposed well loca=ion conflicts with the proposed drainfield sites. Drainf~elds cannot be sited any farther downslope tha~ where the test pits a~e dug. The shallow depth to a limiting layer within the soil profile limits the slope that the drainfields ca~ be ~onsidered to 12% or less, The slope ie mo~e than 12% wes= of the ~est pits. We will re-consider the application with a detailed field stakeout of the ~ndividual drainf£eld lines. ~ expect that a different well location will he necessary.
