The first letter received was dated 11-14-96 and
stated that their application was expired, an investigation fee had been assessed in addition to the
required permit fees, and that a proper plan review and permit needed to be obtained or the
carport removed. The second letter received only stated that the application had expired and the
fees were forfeited. This letter was dated 12-26-96. Was the carport removed or were the
investigation fees paid? I questioned Jeff about it several times in the past, before it became
buried on my desk, and if I remember right, he told me that I needed to check with you. Copies
of both letters are enclosed.

The second item is in regard to the same type of situation but on a structure at 855 9th St,
Aumsville Or 97325. A copy of an enforcement letter was received by us on May 15, 1997
[copy enclosed]. As with the one above, we do not show anything being done by the property
owner to take care of the problem. Again, was the investigation & permit fees paid or the
structure removed?

Also, I have a very new enforcement letter for a Change of Occupancy Permit on 370 Darla
Court that was received 06-08-98 [copy enclosed]. To date the owner has not been in with the
permit application. The deadline is 06-15-98, which is Monday, so I will be calling you on
Tuesday in regard to it.

Your help in clearing up these enforcement letters will be greatly appreciated. If you have any
questions, please call me at 749-1049.

Sinqe~ rely,

Dianne Pursell
City Clerk
