Uncoated No. 4 reinforcing bar installed not less than <br /> inches from the bottom of the footing and not less than <br /> ~B feet in length encased with a minimum of 2 inches of <br /> concrete. <br />2. An uncoated No. 4 reinforcing bar stubbed up at least 12 <br /> inches above the floor plate line and tightly attached to <br /> the reinforcin~ bar located in the footinq. The spliced <br /> lap of the stubbed up ba~ to the footing §ar shall be a <br /> minimum of 12 inches. (See Sec. 41~B. 1.2) , (Sec. <br />Foundation walls and the edges of slab-on'ground floors with <br />exterior applied insulation shall have a rigid~ opaque and <br />weather-resistant protective covering to prevent the <br />degradation of thermal performance.
