We are in agreement that <br />you have addressed those issues in a proactive manner. Regarding the concrete <br />floor drainage issue, I will add the following recommendations. <br /> <br />It appears you are proposing a 1" fall to accommodate drainage of any liquids that <br />potentially may accumulate. The 1" is suffident to accomplish this. Your 0" <br />elevation will have to be extended to a point past the front door (on the right and <br />left interior of the garage) enough to include the door area which is behind the <br />framing. A threshold of some design should be installed for the garage door to <br />come down on or in front of. There are products available that are specifically for <br />this purpose. As an option you may chose to provide a 1" drop edge (protected by <br />a piece of angle metal, where the door closes outside this 1" drop to prevent water <br />fi.om entering the structure under the door. Either proposal is acceptable to the <br />building department. <br /> <br />The Building Official and I appreciate your interest in taking action to correct and <br />investigate the issues raised.
