(96-07823)

The following items are to be corrected prior to final approval being
issues by Marion Cou/%ty Building Department. I will list them in two
sections, as some must be corrected prior to occupying the dwelling.
The remaining items may be corrected as the weather or other condi-
tions allow.

THESE ITEMS MUST BE CORRECTED BEFORE OCCumANCY OF THE DWELLINGs

(1) A 4"x 4" Douglas Fir #2 post is required to be installed at
the rear of the dwelling to support the roof structure over the
patio. The post is to be supported by a 24"w x 24"1 x 12"d concrete
footing with 3 #4 re-bars each way. The post must be connected to
this footing by a Simpson LCB44 collum base (or equal).

(2) A 4"x 4" Douglas Fir #2 post is required to be installed at
the front of the dwelling to support the roof structure over the
porch. The post is to be supported by a 24"w x 24"1 x 12"d concrete
footing with 3 #4 re-bars each way. The post must be connected to
this footing be a Simpson LCB44 collum base (or equal).

(3) A 2"x 4" Douglas Fir #2 full length member is required to be
installed to provide full bearing ~nder the roof ridge member. The
location is at the garage end of the "roof over" section. The ridge
member does not have any bearing provided. The support member must
bear under the ridge member and upon the wall top plate, directly
under and be attached at both ends so as to resist displacement.

(%) A total of 8 under floor vents (8" x 16") are required to be
installed. The following locations are suggested; two on the master
bedroom side of dwelling, three on the rear, two on the living room
side, and one on the dining room side. Under floor insulation shall
be prevented from blocking the ventilation air flow.

(5) Door hardware is required to be installed in the passage
door connecting the garage to the utility room area.

(6) Approved plans were approved for the atrium area with a
gravel floor. If a wooden deck is going to be installed, owner is
required to submit plans for deck approval. The installation of a
wooden deck in this area may have detrimental effects on the floor
structure of the dwelling. %~he atrium floor is required to be
resolved prior to occupancy as the present condition represents a
potential hazard to the occupants of the dwelling.

Community Development Center · 285 Church Street N.E., Room 132 · Salem, Oregon 97301-3670
