LOT DRAINAGE. Lots shall be provided with adequate drainage and shall be graded so as <br />to drain surface water away from foundation walls. The grade away from foundation walls shall <br />fall a minimum of 6 in. within the first 10 ft. Where lot lines, walls or other physical barriers <br />prohibit 6" of fall within 10 feet, drains or other approved means shall be provided to ensure <br />positive drainage. [Sec. 401 <br /> <br />2. CONCRETE SPECIFICATIONS. Basement walls and foundations not exposed to the <br />weather, basement slabs and interior slabs on grade, except garage floor and steps exposed to <br />the weather shall have a minimum compressive strength of 2500 psi. Basement walls, foundation <br />walls, exterior walls, and other vertical concrete work exposed to the weather, porches, carport <br />slabs, and steps exposed to the weather, and garage floor slabs shall have a minimum specified <br />compressive strength of 3000. Concrete shall be air entrained. Total air content (percent by <br />volume of concrete) shall not be less than 5 percent or more than 7 percent. [Sec. 402.2, Table <br />402.2] <br /> <br />3. FOUNDATION SIZE. A KEYWAY in the footing is an acceptable method and will transfer the lateral loads, OR <br />provide 18 inch long, No. 3 dowels extending 12 inches from the footing into the wall, 4 feet on <br />canter, OR pour the footing stemwall at one time (monolithically). All wood left permanently in <br />contact with the ground shall be F ATI WiTH ALL CUT ENDS AND/OR <br />SIDES TREATED with an approved wood preservative. [Sec. 322.1(5)] <br /> <br />5. BP,PF ATTACHED. This structure uses a combination of Brace Wall Panels (BP) and Portal <br />Frame(s) to meet the code requirements for lateral wall bracing. Insure that all BP's and Portal <br />Frame(s) are located as indicated on the plans and constructed as shown on the plans and the <br />attached detail sheets. <br /> <br /> <br />
