LUEDEMAN, DIllECTOR~ff~ <br />DON WOODLEY, BUILDING OFFICIAL <br /> <br />RURAL AREA CONSIDERATION, ON-SITE RULES POLICY <br /> <br />As provided for in Oregon Administrative Rule 340-71-410, 04-01-95, Rural Area <br />Consideration may be granted as an alternative, when the property and the proposed use <br />meets certain standards as determined by the Agent. This memo is to set out those <br />standards and process by which the determination will be made. <br /> <br />The .request for Rural Area Consideration must be made in writing by the <br />property owner or agent requesting such consideration. <br /> <br />The property must be located in Exclusive Farm Use (EFU), Special Agriculture <br />(SA), Timber Conservation (TC), or Farm Timber (FT) as designated by the <br />Marion County Zone Code. <br /> <br />3. The parcel size must exceed ten acres in size. <br /> <br />The parcel is an existing parcel that does not have accessible area approvable for <br />a standard on-site system. <br /> <br />5. The request is for a single family dwelling or commercial facility with an <br /> equivalent or less sewage flow, and the use is allowed in that zone. <br /> <br />Request for Rural Area Consideration will be evaluated if all of the above conditions are <br />met, and in the opinion of staff, the on-site sewage disposal system will function in a <br />manner so as not to create a public health hazard, or cause pollution of public waters. <br />Fees will be as currently adopted for the type of work being performed. <br /> <br />Dw:p:rurarea. pol <br /> <br />Marion Coumy ~ · 3150 Lanesstet Dr. N.
