The risk to the sewer system is too high,
especially with our need to comply with a very strict ordinance for sanding our
waste to Donald.

Zan Ewing of Marion County Building Inspection (MCBI) discussed this with
Tim McFetridge of the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).
Tim concurred with allowing the fueling island to be hooked up to the local
storm sewer system as opposed to the sanitary sewer, and said that no
special permits were necessary from the DEQ. You may still need to contact
Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) for any necessary permits to tie
this into their storm drainage system.

Sincerely,

Bruce Visser
Operations Manager

NBV:cac

c: Mike O'Donnell, MCBI

h:Lfyping~istriCt~argo~corresp'~cmssell.ltr

5155 Silverton Rd.
