THIS PLAN REVIEW was completed by J TRUSSELL ON 7-17-99. This plan was reviewed under the 1996 Edition of the State of Oregon One and Two Family Dwelling Specialty Code, 2. Approval of submitted plans is not an approval of omissions or oversights by this office or of noncompliance with any applicable regulations of local government. 4. GROUNDING ELECTRODES. When concrete reinforcing bars are installed in concrete footings, the following requirements shall be met to provide for a grounding electrode system: 1. Uncoated No. 4 reinforcing bar installed not less 20 feet in length encased with a minimum of 2 inches of concrete. 2. An uncoated No. 4 reinforcing bar stubbed up at least 12 inches above the floor plate line and tightly attached to the reinforcing bar located in the footing. The spliced lap of the staubbed up bar to the footing shall be a minimum of 12 inches. (See Section 4108,1.2) [Sec. 403.4] 5, ENG, This structure uses an Engineered Design to meet the lateral wall bracing requirements of the code. Insure that all detailed construction requirements shown on the plans are followed. 6, TRUSS DESIGN. Roof trusses are required to be be designed by an Oregon registered Engineer or Architect. For trusses manufactured by an approved fabrication plant, have the design and layout drawings available at the construction site for the framing inspection. All jobsite cutting or modifications of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in the engineer's design calculations and drawings. 7. EVERY SLEEPING ROOM shall have at least one openable window or exterior door approved for emergency egress or rescue. The window sill height shall not be more than 44 inches above the floor. The minimum net clear opening is 5.7 square feet, The minimum net clear opening height shall be 22 inches. The minimum net clear opening width shall be 20 inches. Exception: Grade floor windows may have a minimum net clear opening of 5 square feet, [Sec. 210.2, 210,2,1] 8. STAIRWAYS shall not be less than 36 inches in clear width at all points between the handrail height and the required minimum headroom of 6 feet 8 inches, Minimum width from the handrail down is 32 inches with one handrail, 28 inches with two. The minimum required stair tread width is 9 inches. The maximum stair rise is 8 inches. When risers are closed. all treads less than 10 inches shall have a uniform nosing betweem 3/4 inches and 1 1/4 inches. The greatest riser height/tread depth shall not exced th smallest by more than 2/8 inch. [Sec. 314.1: 314.2: 314.2,1; 214.3] 9. HANDPd~ILS having a minimum and maximum height of 30 inches and 38 inches, respectively, shall be provided on at least one side of stairways of more than three risers. Alt re- quired handrails shall be continuous the full length of the stairs, Ends shall be returned or shall terminate in newel posts or safety terminals. Exception: Handrails may be interrupted by a newel post at a turn, and the use of a volute turnout or starting easing shall be allowed over the lowest tread. [Sec. 315.1] 10.
