Approval of submitted plans is not an approval of omissions <br /> or oversights by this office or of noncompliance with any <br /> applicable regulations of local government. <br /> 4. DECK, This permit is for all of the deck area, Activity <br /> #99-03656 was never approved and issued. This deck is requi <br /> red before the final inspection of the building/completion <br /> permit #99-05254 can be finaled. <br /> 5. DESIGNER RESPONSIBILITY. The plans submitted do not clearly <br /> show all the required framing details. It is the designer's <br /> responsibility to size all structural members and fasteners <br /> for the appropriate loads and have them shown on the plans, <br /> [Sec, 112,1] <br /> 6. ACCEPTABILITY. This plan review covers the addition to and/ <br /> or alteration of an existing structure. This review is not <br /> intended to prohibit the building inspector from requesting <br /> an evaluation of the acceptability of existing structural <br /> members that may appear to be unsafe, Existing construction <br /> not specifically detailed in the submitted plans and struc- <br /> tural calculations is beyond the scope of this review. <br /> 7. THE STRUCTU~L SUPPORTS for decks, balconies, porches or <br /> similar structures shall be pressure-treated wood to protect <br /> against decay, [Sec. 222.1] <br /> 8. SEPTIC TANK. Access must be provided to the septic tank for <br /> servicing tank. None of the framing/structural members for <br /> the deck can bear on the septic tank or within 5 feet of the <br /> tank, <br /> 9, FLOOR JOISTS. The maximum span for 2x6 DF #2 floor joists <br /> is 10'-0". <br />10. 4x6 DECK BEAMS. The maximum span for 4x6 beams spaced 4'-0" <br /> on center is 7'-6". The maximum span for 4x6 beams spaced <br /> 8'-0" on center is 5'-0". <br />11, 4X12 DECK BEAMS. Provide 4x12 DF #2 beams spaced 4'-0" on <br /> center spanning 15'-0" maximum over the septic tank so the <br /> deck load is not transferred to the tank or within 5'-0" of <br /> the tank. <br />12. SUPPORT OF DECK AT WALL OF MANUFACTURED HOME AND ADDITION. <br /> The floor loads from the deck can not be transferred or hung <br /> on the manufactured home with a ledger or in any other manne <br /> r, The deck can be connected to a permanent perimeter found <br /> ation. <br />12. STAIRWAYS shall not be less than 36 inches in clear width at <br /> all points between the handrail height and the required <br /> minimum headroom of 6 feet 8 inches. Minimum width from the <br /> handrail down is 32 inches with one handrail, 28 inches with <br /> two. The minimum required stair tread width is 9 inches, <br /> The maximum stair rise is 8 inches. When risers are closed, <br /> all treads less than 10 inches shall have a uniform nosing <br /> betweem 3/4 inches and 1 1/4 inches. The greatest riser <br /> height/tread depth shall not exced th smallest by more than <br /> 3/8 inch, [Sec. 314.1: 314.2; 214.2.1; 314.3] <br />14. ALL EXTERIOR STAIRS shall be provided with a minimum of 60 <br /> watts of incandescent light or other artificial light source <br /> rated at a minimum of B50 lumens. The illumination of <br /> exterior stairs shall be located in the immediate vicinity <br /> of the landing at the top of the stairs of required exits, <br /> and shall be controlled from inside the dwelling unit unless <br /> continuously illuminated or automatically activated. <br /> <br /> <br />
