Approval of submitted plans is not an approval 6f omissions <br /> or oversights by this office or of noncompliance with any <br /> applicable regulations of local government. <br />4, THIS BUILDING REQUIRES A CONTINUOUS FOUNDATION (402.1) <br />5, ANCHOR BOLTS, Foundation plates shall be bolted to the <br /> foundation with a minimum 1/2 inch diameter by 10 inch <br /> anchor bolts embedded at least 7 inches into concrete or <br /> reinforced masonry and spaced not m~re than 6 feet apart <br /> with a minimum of 2 bolts per piece with one bolt within <br /> t2 inches of the end of each piece. [Fig. 402.1a] <br />6. FINISHED GRADE, Footings shall extend not less than 12 <br /> inches below the finish natural grade. Foundation walls <br /> shall extend at least 6 inches above the finished grade <br /> adjacent to the foundation at all points, except 4 inches is <br /> allowed where masonry veneer is used. [Fig. 403.1a, <br /> Section 404.1,3] <br />7, FOUNDATION SIZE. A GROUND COVER shall be installed on the ground in the crawl <br /> space, Ground cover shall be 6-mil black polyethylene or <br /> other approved material of equivalent perm-rating. Ground <br /> cover shall be lapped 12 inches at all joints and cover the <br /> entire surface extending full width and length of the crawl <br /> space and turn 12 inches up the foundation wall. Wood joists or the bottom of a wood <br /> structural floor closer than 18 inches or wood girders <br /> closer than 12 inches to exposed ground in crawl spaces or <br /> unexcavated areas located within the periphery of the <br /> building foundation shall be pressure treated lumber. <br /> [Sec, 322.1 (1)] <br />10. UNDERFLOOR VENTILATION. Provide at least one square foot of <br /> underfloor ventilation for each 1500 square feet of crawl <br /> space area. The openings shall be covered with a corrosion <br /> resistant wire mesh, At least one such opening shall be <br /> provided within 3 feet of each corner of the building. <br /> Vents may be omitted on one side, [Sec, 409.1] <br />11, GROUND CLEARANCE. Wood siding, sheathing and wall framing <br /> on the exterior of a building having a clearance of less <br /> than 6 inches to the ground shall be pressure treated or <br /> decay resistant heartwood of redwood, black locust, or <br /> cedar. [Sec. 322.1(5)] <br />12. BP. This structure uses Brace Wall Panels (BP) to meet the <br /> code requirement for lateral wall bracing, Insure that all <br /> BP's are located as indicated on the plans. <br />13. RAFTERS shall be nailed to ceiling joists to form a <br /> continuous tie between exterior walls where joist are <br /> parallel to the rafters. Where not parallel, rafters shall <br /> be tied with a rafter tie, located at or near the plate as <br /> practical, Rafter ties shall be spaced not more than 4 feet <br /> on center. Rafters shall be framed to ridge board or to <br /> each other with gusset plate as a tie. [Sec. 802.3] <br /> Provide screened attic vents with a net free <br /> <br /> <br />
