EVERY SLEEPING ROOM shall have at least one openable window <br /> or exterior door approved for emergency egress or rescue, <br /> The window sill height shall not be more than 44 inches <br /> above the floor, The minimum net clear opening is 5,7 square <br /> feet, The minimum net clear opening height shall be 22 <br /> inches. The minimum net clear opening width shall be ~0 <br /> inches, Exception: Grade floor windows may have a minimum <br /> net clear opening of 5 square feet, [Sec, 310,2. 210,2.1] <br />5. SMOKE DETECTORS / ALTERATIONS, When alterations, repairs or <br /> additions requiring a permit occur, or when sleeping rooms <br /> are added or created, the entire building shall be provided <br /> with smoke detectors located as required for new dwellings: <br /> the smoke detectors shall be interconnected and hard wired. <br /> EXCEPTION: Detectors shall not be required to be inter- <br /> connected and hard wired where the alterations, repairs, or <br /> additions do not result in the exposure of electrical wiring <br /> by the removal of interior wall and ceiling finishes, <br /> [Sec. B16,1.1] <br />6. SMOKE DETECTORS shall be installed in each sleeping room, <br /> outside of each separate sleeping area in the in~ediate <br /> vicinity of the bedrooms and on each additional story of the <br /> dwelling including basements. All detectors located outside <br /> sleeping rooms shall be interconnected such that the <br /> actuation of one alarm will actuate these alarms in the <br /> individual unit and shall provide an alarm which will be <br /> audible in all sleeping areas, Smoke detectors shall be <br /> 110 volt with batter back-up. [Sec. 216.1] <br />7. TRUSS DESIGN. Roof trusses are required to be be designed by <br /> an Oregon registered Engineer or Architect. For trusses <br /> manufactured by an approved fabrication plant, have the <br /> design and layout drawings available at the construction <br /> site for the framing inspection. All jobsite cutting or <br /> modifications of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in <br /> the engineer's design calculations and drawings, <br />8. SAFETY GLAZING / TUBS. The following shall be considered <br /> specific hazardous locations for the purposes of glazing. <br /> Glazing in doors and enclosures for hot tubs, whirlpools <br /> saunas, steam rooms, bathtubs, showers: glazing in any <br /> part of a building wall enclosing these compartments <br /> where the bottom edge of the glazing is less than 60 <br /> inches above the drain outlet. <br />9. UNOERFLOOR VENTILATION, Provide at least one square foot of <br /> underfloor ventilation for each 150 square feet of crawl <br /> space area, The openings shall be covered with a corrosion <br /> resistant wire mesh, At least one such opening shall be <br /> provided within 3 feet of each corner of the building, <br /> Vents may be omitted on one side, [Sec. 409.1] <br /> BEAMS. Provide a minimum of 3 inches of bearing for beams <br /> or girders that bear on masonry or concrete. The ends of <br /> beams or girders that enter masonry or concrete or walls <br /> shall be provided with a minimum one half inch of clearance <br /> on the top, sides and ends, or shall be of pressure treated <br /> materials, [Sec, 322.1, 502.4] <br /> <br />10, <br /> <br /> <br />
