NE, Aurora

Dear Rich:

I have completed my field evaluation of the property at the above address. It
appears that your proposal for a capping fill disposal field may be feasible, at least
for the initial system. The future replacement system will require an Alternative
Sand Filter System which will require permits directly from DEQ.

I have calculated the projected sewage flow for the building using the club
membership of 215 and a daily sewage flow for airports of 5 gallons/person/day.
Although the 5 gpd figure may be low, I feel this is offset by the fact that the
facility is not used every day and the average attendance is around 65 members
per meeting. In addition you have proposed to pump to the drainfleld using a
programmable timer which will spread the flow to the field out over an extended
period of time. Using the above figures, the projected dally sewage flow for this
facility is calculated at 1075 gallons per day. Sizing the system at 125 lineal feet
per 150 gallons will require a drainfield size of approximately 900 lineal feet.

The system must be staked on the property and elevations recorded to insure that
the system will fit on the property as proposed. The drainfield must be located
within the area designated on the attached plan for the capping fill dralnfield. The
suggested layout is only a suggestion and may be altered as necessary, but the
field must be located within the area designated. When the proposed drainfield has
been staked, please submit a detailed site plan showing the system proposed for
the site. Follow the requirements of the attached Marion County Stakeout Proce-
dure. A field review of the stakeout will be conducted after we are notified that
the stakeout is complete. If approved, the stakeout may also be used to determine
the requirements for an easement. A sample easement form is enclosed for your
information. This form may be used or the property owners may draw up their
own form. A copy of the recorded easement will be required before any construc-
tion permits can be issued on this property.

Community Development Center · 285 Church Street N.E., Room 132 · Salem, Oregon 97301-3670
