The septic system was installed in 1969 designed for a 2 bedroom retirement type
use. The lot is limited in space and the soil conditions somewhat limited.

Our position on this is that if all required setbacks can be maintained bom the new structure
with the existing and proposed septic system and additions, we may be able to approve this
application. The proposed new drainfield cannot be placed under any existing or proposed
driveways.

This proposal must be carefully evaluated to insure continued satisfactory sewage disposal
and not create a situation where the new home will cause the septic system to fail.

All components of the proposal must be staked out on the lot and a detailed scaled plot plan
submitted. In addition, a copy of the floor plan for the new home must also accompany the
application.

Give me a call if you would like to discuss this or if you have any questions on this matter.

R~ ved Sanitarian

Community Development Center - 3150 Lancaster DrNE, Suite C - Salem, Oregon 97305-1398
