THE GARAGE shall be separated from the dwelling and its <br /> attic area by means of 1/2 inch gypsum board applied to the <br /> garage side of the wall. Where the separation is a floor- <br /> ceiling assembly, the structure supporting the separation <br /> shall be protected by 1/2 inch gypsum board or equivalent. <br /> The door between the garage and residence shall be equipped <br /> with solid wood doors not less than 1 3/0 inches in thick- <br /> ness or 20-minute fire-rated, or equivalent. <br /> [Sec. 309,1. 309.2] <br /> 7, ENERGY PATH #t is based on R-21 wall insulation, R-25 under- <br /> floor insulation, R-30 vaulted ceiling insulation. DESCRIPTION. This permit is for replacing a garage, utility <br /> room,storage and bath with new construction. <br />9, TRUSS DESIGN. Roof trusses are required to be designed by <br /> an Oregon registered Engineer or Architect, For trusses <br /> manufactured by an approved fabrication plant, have the <br /> design and layout drawings available at the construction <br /> site for the framing inspeciton. All jobsite cutting or <br /> modification of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in <br /> the engineers's design calculations and drawings. If trusses <br /> are to be built at the jobsite, submit the engineer's design <br /> and construction plans to the Marion County Building Depart- <br /> ment prior to start of construction and have the approved <br /> drawings available at the site for the Framing inspection, <br />lO. A GROUND COVER shall be installed on the ground in the crawl <br /> space. Ground cover shall be 6-mil black polyethylene or <br /> other approved material of equivalent perm-rating, Ground <br /> cover shall be lapped 12 inches at all joints and cover the <br /> entire surface extending full width and length of the crawl <br /> space and turn 12 inches up the foundation wall, [E 401,9,1] <br />Il, GROUND CLEARANCE. Wood joists or the bottom of a wood <br /> structural floor closer than 18 inches or wood girders <br /> closer than 12 inches to exposed ground in crawl spaces or <br /> unexcavated areas located within the periphery of the <br /> building foundation shall be pressure treated lumber. <br /> [Sec. 322.1 (])] <br />12.
