EVERY SLEEPING ROOM shall have at least one openable window <br /> or exterior door approved for emergency egress or rescue. <br /> The window sill height shall not be more than 44 inches <br /> above the floor, The minimum net clear opening is 5.7 square <br /> feet. The minimum net clear opening height shall be 22 <br /> inches. SAFETY GLAZING / AT DOOR. The following shall be considerea <br /> specific hazardous locations for the purposes of glazing: <br /> Glazing. in an individual fixed or operable panel <br /> adjacent to a door where the nearest vertical edge is <br /> within a 24 inch arc of the door in a closed position <br /> and whose bottom edge is less than 60 inches above <br /> the floor or walking surface, Exception: Safety <br /> glazing is not required when there is an intervening <br /> wall or other permanent barrier between the door and <br /> the glazing. <br />7~ STAIRWAYS shall not be less than 36 inches in clear width at <br /> all points between the handrail height and the required <br /> minimum headroom of 6 feet 8 inches, Minimum width from the <br /> handrail down is 32 inches with one handrail. 28 inches with <br /> two. The minimum required stair tread width is 9 inches. <br /> The maximum stair rise is 8 inches.
