agreement should reflect this as part of the services the Contractor is providing.
SP 2.5.2 Has been amended to eliminate "time is of the essence" language. Instead, the
Architect acknowledges the tight time schedule and promises to conform to the schedule
within the limits of professional prudence.
2.6.1 Has been modified to eliminate language the Architect disagreed with. Substitute
language has been added to require the Arcl~itect to remain on the project until the building
is commissioned. This is a more definable date.
2.6.5 Has been modified to limit tlle Architect's duty to visit the site and the purpose of
the visits to a requirement that the visits be enough to make the Architect sufficiently
familiar with the work to state it is in accordance with the Contract Documents. We see
the Architect as important to watch the progress of construction.
SP 2.6.5.1 Has been amended to delete reference to the Architect's performance at any
standard of care. Tllis has been addressed at 1.1.5.
2.6.12 Has been amended to limit the Architect's review of shop drawings to compliance
with Contract Documents.
2.6.16 Has not been amended. The Architect asked ti~at the phrase about not being liable
for good faith interpretations as between the Owner and Architect be left in. It remains
stricken. The Architect is responsible to make recommendations and interpretations of
Contract Documents using ordinary professional care. This seems reasonable in that the
Owner must rely on the Architect's professional judgment, and the standard of care is
insurable.
SP 2.6.20 Has been deleted. Providing as built drawings will be an extra service for which
the owners will pay.
3.3.1 Has been amended to better define "major" revisions, by substituting the phrase
"which require significant time and material cost". The purpose is to avoid having every
change, even typos, produce a bill for a"contingent" service.
3.4.10 Was added back in.
3.4.16 Was added back in.
3.4.18 Was modified to limit optional additional services to those provided after building
commissioning.
3.4.19 Was modified. Refer to 2.1. l.
SP 5.2.6 Was deleted. There is no fixed limit of cost for the project applicable to this
