Written PGE approval must be given before constructing switchgear for ea~h <br />job. Location of cable termination compartment can vary depending on <br />equipment used and location in customer's building. Number and size of cables <br />and termination positions to be approved by PGE. All terminal lugs for PGE <br />cables to be rated for copper or aluminum cable. .. <br />2. PT's and CTs to be provided by PGE. PT's and CT's may be installed by PGE <br />per PGE tariff or by customer. <br />3. Access door and barrier shall both be metal and one piece construction. Barrier <br />shall be hinged on one side and secured with screws. Access door shall be <br />hinged on same side as barrier and shall have latch mechanism padlockable by <br />PGE. Access door shall be labeled: "UTILITY METERING CUBICLE: NO <br />CUSTOMER EQUIPMENT". Barrier door shall have sign stating DANGER: LIVE <br />PARTS and DANGER: HIGH VOLTAGE. <br />4. Fused shorting block shall be mounted on the fixed part of the barrier wall. <br />Conduit out of shorting block to meter base shall protect metering wires. <br />5. Meter location to be approved by PGE prior to construction. <br />6. CT's to be mounted vertically and PT's to be mounted horizontally or vertical~y. <br />Roll-out tray for PT's not allowed. Voltage class rating of insulators and <br />equipment shall be 15 kV. <br />7. Neutral ground conductor equivalent to 2/0 Cu minimum to be installed around <br />inside of enclosure walls in cable termination compartment and be effectively <br />grounded. Grounding post to be installed for use with portable grounds. <br />8. Conduit for primary cables to enter switchgear under terminating bus in order to <br />line up cables. <br />PGE requires an interlock on the switchgear that disconnects the PT's when the <br />switchgear door is opened with the customer not being out of service.
