WORK PRACTICES PROGRAM WHICH iNCUDES PPE H U~KEEPING AND <br />NYGI~NE PRACTICES <br />Perspnal Protective Equioment: Because of the lack of visible dust, no special <br />disposabte work clothi~g will be provided. Half-face respirators using NEPA fi(ter <br />cartridges will be supplled and required to be used until such time as a negative <br />employee exposure assessment is available. <br />HxAiene Facilities and Practices: (Ftef. 192F.62(I)} The following hygiene <br />facilities will be provided and the following practices will be in effect. <br />No food, beverage or tobacco consumption will be permitted on the actuaf <br />demolition site. <br />Eatir~g Facilities: Due to the urban location of the job, ii is expected that <br />employees will eat and drink either at their vehicles or at nearby commercia! eating <br />estsblishments. In either case their clothing wilk be vacuumed or cleaned before <br />leavfng the actual demolition site. <br />Hand Washing Facilities: Employees wili be required to wash their hands and <br />faces, using the facilities provided, prior to eating and at the end of each shift. <br />1 ~. ADJU{) N ISTRATIVE CQNTR4LS <br />Because of the expected low employee exposure to iead it is noi anticipated that <br />the practice of employee rotatiqn, or other administrative controls, will be requl~ed_ <br />11iD~SCRIPTION O~ COMMUNICA71pNS PROGRAM AND ARRANGEMENTS <br />MADE WtTH OTHER CONTRAC70RS WITH RESPECT TO iNFORMING OTHER <br />E~lll ~LOYEES OF POTENTIAL EXP4SURE TO LEAD. <br />Written notification af other contractors such as waste haulers of activities <br />associated with potential lead emissions and the ppssible need to wear respirators and <br />keep their windows rolled up during (oading a~d truck washing and decontamination. <br />Copies of these notifications are available for inspection. <br />1~~ OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION <br />Respiratorv Protection Proaram <br />Staton Construction has available for inspection a respiratory protection <br />program meeting the requirements af ~92fi.fi2(~. 7his includes qualitative fit te5ting of <br />all employees required to wear half-face respirators. <br />Medical Monitorins~ Program <br />For this job Staton Construction has made available an initial medical <br />surveillance including baseline blood lead levels to alt employees who may be <br />a:cupationally exposed to lead. The results of this testing are available for inspection <br />by authorized indivicfuals. <br />3 <br />
