Pearmine <br />NDMINISTRATIVE <br />OfFICER <br />Ken Roudybush <br />Marion Count~ <br />OREGON <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />Salem Area Mass Transit Board and <br />Marion County Board of Commissioners <br />Re: Courthouse Square Oversight Committee <br />December 12, 1997 <br />We are recommending that the Salem Area Transit Board and the Marion County <br />Board of Commissioners create a Courthouse Square Oversight Committee and <br />appoint the citizens listed on the attached membership roster with Edwin Peterson <br />serving as chair. <br />We believe it is critical for the future of the Courthouse Square to have an <br />independent committee of citizens to advise the two public boards which are <br />responsible for the project. <br />These highly respected individuals have agreed to serve on the committee, and <br />Chief Justice Peterson has agreed to serve as chair. The attached charter has been <br />reviewed by the respective project managers, Justice Peterson and ourselves.
