i <br />Staff Recommendation: Staff has completed a preliminary analysis of the <br />project including cost and financing options, occupancy needs and other factors <br />relating to the impact on the county's budget. A summary of this analysis is <br />contained on pages 4 thru 7 of this report. <br />Based on our analysis and the assistance of R.S. Clements and Associates, the <br />staff recommends the Board approval the attached intergovemmental agreement <br />with the transit district. Staff further recommends that the Board approve the <br />attached resolution which authorizes the following: <br />1. Proceed with negotiations on the purchase of the three Senator <br />Block parcels currently in private ownership. <br />2. Affum for the transit district and FTA that Marion County is <br />committed to proceed with the Courthouse Square project under <br />the terms of the intergovemmental agreement, and , <br />3. Continue with negotiations on final contracts and agreements <br />necessary for the design, financing, construction and operation of <br />the project. <br />3 <br />
