Waste Maaagement Plan <br />A. Canduct detailed audit of propased project to identify ty~es and quar,tities of materiais <br />r+vith the potential to be salvaged for reuse, recycled or taken to the landfill. Note: The <br />imple,cnentation of an effective w'aste manageanent p1alt wiii directty reduce the costs required <br />to dispose of demolation waste and will in some cases provide a rebate for m2~terials back to the <br />Construction project In many cases well aver 50~Yo of the original costs groposed for waste <br />dupos~l can be saved. Produce detailed report on findings. <br />B. Conduct a cost/benefit analysis to determine: <br />- marke# and market valt~e of identified materials <br />- source separation reguirements/~abor requirements <br />- haulxng/transportarion costs <br />- site set-up/storage requiresnenu: <br />C. Deve~op a specific waste management plan for demolition projec~ Work with Genet~i <br />Contractor/Demo ~ontractor to go "out ta~ bid" for a hau]er. Work with H~uier to set up site <br />and provide ctearly rnatked recycling bins. <br />D. Develop specifi~ation~ for 6id/cantract packages that outlines the demolitian site recyCliz~g <br />requireme~ts. <br />E. Develop and implement xnethodoIogy fvr tracking types, quantities, transportation <br />met~ods, costs and destination of wastes leaving the demo,iition site. Monitor contamination of <br />bins and review hauler bills ta make sure ~ll. rebates are appIied to job. Provide monthiy <br />reports to Contractor on cost savings. Wo~k ctosely with dennolitian contrattor. <br />fi. Coordinate with general conuac~or to provide on-site education to subcontractors on <br />recyclir~g program. <br />G.
