Memorandum
May 19, 1994
Page 2
Also as to Court caseload projections generally, several bar charts are included in the
distribution of materials. These charts are the product of the ]udicial Department's Ore~on
Courts Vision Proiect, which is addressing the issue of the Courts in the year 2020. For your
information, a copy of the current draft of the vision statement is included as well. Also
included is a document entitled "Progress Report", dated 1 1/ 15/93. This report outlines
the framework within which the draft vision scatement was developed, and includes the
trends, forecasts and possible results of the current conditions and processes of [he Court
system.
Committee members have also requested information on security concems as they affect the
Court's facilities, and information relating to comparable counties' approaches to the issue
of centralized court facilities versus subject-matter departmentalization (as it impacts possible
multiple court sites).
Staff will continue to develop material regarding security, and will seek available information
on the issue of comparable counties' use of multiple sites. If there is additional material
which might be of assistance, please let me know.
I hope to see you on the 3rd.
)HM:stl
enc.
