This cost will need to be included in their cost be-
cause the Tri-Agency will not be built yet and that is
part of the funding.
Mark stated that the City had a meeting regarding the
Tri-Agency Facility. If this facility isn't built the
City will have to change their capital improvement
priorities. The City is now looking at dividing up the
police department and moving some of the department out
of City Hall. If this project is going to be 6- 10
years out, then the City will have to move quicker and
they don't want to jeopardize the cooperation of all
these agencies.
Ken asked if this is something that the City will have
to move on in the next year. If this is the case then
building won't solve the problem as the Tri-Agency
facility is still three and a half years away, even
giving it an "A" category. If the city is going to
have to find additional space now then we aren't going
to be able to solve that problem. If the City is
saying it can hold on until the facility is built then
it would make a difference by being a"A".
Mark Caillier stated that the City will still have to
go out and find additional space. They don't have any
training facilities, conference rooms and they only
have two interview rooms. They can continue to use
other agencies facilities, but a high priority for the
Tri-Agency facility would give them a light at the end
of the tunnel. They could do some planning and it
keeps the City from having to go out on their own.
FINAL REPORT:
Ken asked what does it mean to be an A, B or C rated
facility? Do these mean there is a level of urgency
and need? Dale recommended tha~ the rating scale be
removed, but there needs to be some kind of priority on
each facility.
Randy and Ken will compile a final report that reflects
each facility and how it will operate. Each member
will send Randy comments on what they would like to see
in the report by Friday, February 17, 1995. Ken and
Randy will then meet and draft a final report.
NEXT MEETING: March 15, 1995 at 7:00 am
Courthouse, Sth floor Conference Room C~ D
~
