Space Programing Report <br />Definitions: <br />Programing for the space needs of Marion County has been expressed in three different terms. <br />They include net (useable) square feet, rentable square feet (rs~ and gross square feet (gs~. A <br />conversion formula is included in the assumptions below for rentable and gross square footage. <br />This report has converted all projections to net square footage. Net square footage (ns~ is <br />defined as: <br />The space within the building walls devoted to personnel and/or furniture. It does not <br />include such things as stairs, elevators, main lobby, public restrooms, ducts and other <br />spaces that are considered common areas for all building tenants.' <br />Assumptions: <br />The following assumptions have been used to calculate and project space and staffing needs for <br />table # l, attached: <br />1. Current space based on temporary office locations for Senator Block depts. <br />2. Groupings A-E, represents desired adjacencies <br />3. No additional space needed thru yr. 2005 <br />4. 2% growth project from 2006-2020 <br />5. Conversion from nsf to rentable = nsf x 1.13% <br />6.
