SECTION 01800 <br />MOBILIZATION AND DEMOBILIZATION <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.1 DESCRIPTION <br />A. Payment will be made at the contract lump sum price for mobilization and <br />demobilization of personnel, equipment, supplies, offices and other facilities <br />necessary for the work and cleanup. The price includes premium on bonds and <br />insurance and other costs which are incurred before beginning the site work. <br />1.2 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br />A. Payment for the performance of the mobilization work as above specified will be <br />made at the contract lump sum price for the item "Mobilization and <br />Demobilization." <br />B. The amounts to be allowed for "Mobilization and Demobilization" in the partial <br />payment to be made under the contract will be made as follows: <br />1. When 5 percent of the total original contract amount is earned from other <br />bid items, 40 percent of the amount bid for mobilization, or 5 percent of <br />the total original contract amount, whichever is the least, less normal <br />retainage, will be paid. <br />2. When 10 percent of the total original contract amount is earned from other <br />bid items, 70 percent of the amount bid for mobilization, or 10 percent of <br />the total original contract amount, whichever is the least, less normal <br />retainage, will be paid. <br />3. When 90 percent of the total original contract amount is earned from other <br />bid items, 90 percent of the amount bid for mobilization, less normal <br />retainage, will be paid. <br />4. Upon completion of all work on the project, payment of any remaining <br />amount bid for mobilization will be paid. <br />END OF SECTION <br />Mobilization and Demobilization 0t800-1 <br />
