Also included is a
memo to the Board of Commissioners requesting approval of the amendment.
The basic purpose of this amendment is to reflect (2) two changes. First, based on
the bids accepted by Marion County and the Transit District, there has been a change
in respective share each will pay for the project. As part of this, the parties have
agreed to share certain expenses which cannot be quantified, but will be incurred.
These relate primarily to the excavation and disposal of soils and the compaction of
soils required by conditions discovered on site during the excavation.
Second, the FTA has requested that the Transit District agree to certain changes in
the continuing control language. These changes will be incorporated in e~chibits A, B
and C of the intergovernmental development agreement. The specific language is
included in attachments to the amendment. This continuing control language
concerns the obligations of the Transit District, not Marion County. Therefore, it
does not include any financial obligation to the county.
Would you please process this amendment for review and submit it to the Board
of Commissioners when it has been completed.
cc: Billy Wasson, Project Coordinator /
MJH/sb
courhou: contract.amend
530 Center Street NE, Suite 312 .
