_ ~~ -~ ~. ____. ~. ~ ~~ ~ . ~
~~~ ~~,
; BOB MCCUNE Fwd: Re: Removal of the existing transit mall Page 1
----- _ -.._-,-
'7 ~ Z S~ob
From: PEGGY MITCHELL
To: BOB MCCUNE
Date: Tue, Jul 25, 2000 6:07 PM
Subject: Fwd: Re: Removal of the existing transit mall
Yep, that about sums it up! If we can't use Westech through the city or piggy-backing on their
agreement, we wouid have to complete the RFP process for engineering services. I'll call Mike Hansen
tomorrow morning to chat with him and see if his view is different and will let you know if it changes.
Thanks for covering this meeting.
Peg
»> BOB MCCUNE 07/25 4:51 PM »>
So our position is:
We agree to take the project and manage it for Transit, (reimbursed for our expenses); Westech can be
the engineer if the City has them do the engineering or if their agreement with the City allows them to
perform work for other jurisdictions at the same rates they charge the City; the demolition of the existing
transit mall and reconstruction of the street will be put out to bid as a new project, entirely separate from
Courthouse Square.
Do I have this correct?
»> PEGGY MITCHELL 07/25 4:36 PM »>
I think that is all the email's I have seen on this issue. Thanks for covering. Please let me know if you
have questions prior to Thursday.....
Peg
CC: Mike Hansen
