~~ ~
~, ~~ -
.~ ~ '
A JOINT PROJECT BY
Marion County
Board of Commissioners
(503) 58&5212
Randail Franke
Patti Milne
Mike Ryan
Salem Area Mass
Transit District
Board of Directors
(503)588-2424
Dennis Koho
Marcia Kelley
Eric Swenson
Jerry Thompson
George Bell
Kimberly Johnson
Lloyd Chapman
TO Transit Board, Marion County Board of Commissioners
FROM Dennis Koho & Patti M lne
RE Naming of Courthouse Square Conference Rooms
DATE February 28, 2000
A few weeks ago the two Boards assigned us the task of agreeing upon names
for the two public conference rooms on the first floor of the new building.
Since then, we have had the opportunity to consider the many names
suggested for them. We were delighted with the number of ideas that people
submitted.
After much deliberation, we have picked two that we think recognize the
history of the site and its importance in the area. The larger room will be
named the Senator Conference Room, and the smaller one will be known as
the Pioneer Conference Room. Our thanks to everybody who participated.
There remains a non public conference room that our joint board members
could select a name for. Our suggestion is that we put it on the agenda for
our ne~ct joint board meeting.
