Misc. Grants & Agreements # <br />PTS Agreement # STG9798040001 <br />1997-98 <br />ANNUAL OPERATING ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT <br />SALEM AREA MASS TRANSIT DISTRICT/ <br />OREGON HOUSING AND ASSOCIATED SERVICES <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into by and between the State of Oregon, acting by <br />and through its Department of Transportation, Public Transit Section, hereinafter referred to as <br />"State" and Salem Area Mass Transit District hereinafter referred to as "RecipienY'. <br />Purpose <br />Recipient, having submitted application #FY98-O-40006 which describes the activities to be <br />conducted, enters into this Agreement with State to secure financial assistance for eligible <br />operating and administrative expenses as put forth in the Project Description and Budget as <br />shown in Exhibit A as attached, and described in application # FY98-O-40006, which is hereby <br />incorporated by reference. <br />Effective Date and Duration <br />This contract shall become effective on July 1, 1997 (or on the date at which every party has <br />signed this Agreement) and shall expire, unless otherwise terminated pursuant to this <br />Agreement, on June 30, 1998, whichever comes first. The time period stipulated between the <br />beginning date and the end date shall hereinafter be known as the Term of Agreement. <br />Consideration <br />State agrees to pay Recipient a sum not to exceed $41,350 hereinafter to be known as the <br />Agreement Amount, for accomplishment of work and allowable expenses. <br />Compliance <br />State and Recipient agree to comply with applicable obligations, requirements, and provisions <br />as stipulated in Exhibit A, Exhibit B, Exhibit E, and Exhibit F. Recipient agrees to comply with <br />all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, executive orders and ordinances applicable to the <br />work under this agreement, including, without limitation, the provisions of ORS 279.312, <br />279.314, 279.316, 279.320 and 279.555, which hereby are incorporated by reference.
