their willingness to be present and seen at recent meetings bringing the <br />Kudos to Board Members visibility of the 8oard-up. - He appreciates that support because it ailows the <br />Board to be unified and to understand that the District is a part of this <br /> community. The leadership of this organization is elected and are looking <br /> out for the interests of the District and the community. To make the time <br /> commitment to attend meetings and critical sessions is to be complimented <br /> for meeting that responsibility. <br />Bus Route Change in Director Newton said there is a proposed bus route change in the West <br />West Keizer Keizer area, and he had asked for oorrespondence that may have gone to <br /> that neighborhood group, but he has not yet received it. Since he has not <br /> had any feedback from those residents perhaps the letter has not yet been <br /> sent. He will help champion the change when it occurs. <br />Director Newton on Mr. Newton said that he would be on vacation in Hawaii from November 27 <br />Vacation through December 7. He said that this has been a scheduled activity for <br /> about a year, and he will miss the .;~int Work Session with the City of <br /> Salem and Wlarion County on December 1. <br />Contract with Holiday Director Kelley asked if the last outbound bus after the parade on <br />Parade Organizers December 13 could be held for people attending the parade. <br /> Mr. Andersen-Wyckoff said the District is enteri~g into an agreement with <br /> parade organizers and they will pay for extra service for the Transit District <br /> to double the buses so that people can be moved out of downtown rapidly <br /> at the end of the parade. <br />Winter Bus Stops Director Kelley said during these dark winter hours, it needs to be <br /> publicized to the community that bus riders can ask to disembark after 6:15 <br /> p.m. at night at someplace other than designated stops. <br />Citizen Contact Director Kelley said she was really pleased today. Some people came into <br /> her business to pick up bus schedules and a bus map because they are <br /> relocating to Salem and want to be on a bus route. <br />Mission Street Route Director Wiep~echt said that a constituent had asked him why the bus route <br /> on Mission was moved recently. <br /> Mr. Whittington said there had been no route change on Mission, but <br /> pertiaps there had been a detour on one trip.
