ANDER -WYCKOFF, GENERAL MANAGER SUBJECT: RESOLUTIONS AUTHORIZING BYLAW CHANGES Issue Shall the Board approve resolutions to authorize amended bylaws for the Speciai Transportation Fund Advisory Committee and the Elde~ly and Disabled Consumer Advisory Committee? Background The Board has previously approved amendments to the bylaws for the STF Advisory Committee and the E/DCAC. Resolutions 97-28 and 97-29 will formally authorize the new bylaws for these committees. Facts and Findinas The E/DCAC bylaws will be changed to replace all occuRences of the term "elderly" with the term "senior." The name of the "Elderly and Disabled Consumer Advisory Committee" (E/DCAC) is changed to "Senior and Disabled Consumer Advisory Committee" (S/DCAC). 2. The S/DCAC bylaw changes update terminology to more clearly reflect the membership of the committee. 3. The Special Transportation Fund Advisory Committee Bylaws Article 1, Purpose and Mission, will be changed to reflect the Committee's desi~e to provide the SAMTD Board of Directors with recommendations based on sound information and input that address future and regional transit needs. 4. The Special Transportation Fund Advisory Committee Bylaws will be changed to eliminate all occurrences of the term "Fund.° The name of the Committee will be changed to "Special Transportation Advisory Committee (STAC).
