From: Billy Wasson
Ta; "Sandra.D.Bullock@Norwest.com"~GroupWise 4_1.SMTP
Date: 11/3/99 10:04am
Subject: Re:
I don't have much comment on the types of investments that you outline, 2 of course
want to have our account earn as much interest as possible. In the next four monthes
you can expect a draw down of funds from us of about $lm per month. Our requests
should hit your office in the third/fourth week of the month. If you want specific
investment buy in from the County then I request that you communicate (with a cc to
me) directly with the County Treasurer, Ralph Grim, he is technically qualified (I
am not!) to answer or give that direction. Thanks.
»> "Bullock, Sandy (NISI)" <Sandra.D.Bullock@Norwest.com> 11/02 8:14 AM »>
Good Morning - I have a message from Juli Jansen, Corporate Trust asking for
investment direction on the remaining balance of funds in the Project Fund
#13461401 after 11/1/99 disbursement. The remaining balance is
$1,720,868.19. I show that you have another investment maturing in the
amount of 1MM US T.Note on 11/30/99, then 2MM total on 1/15 and 1/31/00. I
will keep the 1.7NII~I invested in a weekly repo unless directed differently.
If you want to go into commercial paper into December, you can expect rates
of around 5.25~, however, mid January through February 2000 rates are a
different story. I am seeing yields 5.80 - 6.00$. Current weekly repo rate
is at 4.75'k. The rate is low due to the restrictions of US Governments as
collateral and over coverage of 104~ vs the standard of 102~. US Treasury
Bills are out 3 months are at 5.00~
Please advise.
