I also
discussod this claim with Dennis Kilfoil (MCHA} on October 13, 1997.
Ba.sed on the 1970 Relocadon Act, the following items and amounts aze considered ta be
"moving' expenses and should be reimbursed by Marion County to MCHA since there is no
upper limit on moving expenses;
It~ID ~~~
Front Desk Counter ~3,607.00
Plezi Glass for Part. 114. SO
Used Panels 573.00
1 I.at Partitions 30.00
Outside printing/business cards s09.sa
Total Movin~ Expense: 54,834.00
The reet increase item of 53,81b.96 is a reestablishment expense. This category is limited to
a tota] of ~10,000. Since it is "estimated" that the pro-rata reestablishment costs for MCHA in
the anne~ buildi~g, paid by Marion County, is relatively low and less than 510,000, it is
assumed that this rent increase is a reimbursable expense.
Total Reestablishmeet Expense: 53,816.96
The Senator Apartment relocation expense listcd at 52,250.00 involves the relocation of tenants
and the cleanup of the Senator building and is not a part of the relocation of the MCHA
"business". The amount of this payment, if any, should be determined by agr~ment between
Marion County and Marian County Housing Authority.
