~ , <br />Courthouse Square Design Team Meeting <br />~ March 27,1997 <br />Present: Randy Curtis, RG Andersen-Wyckoff, Leonard Lodder, Dan Berrey, Dave Hayes <br />Agenda: Update from Contractor <br />Architect Update <br />Property Acquisition <br />Relocation <br />Demolition and Abatement <br />Financing <br />Environmental Update <br />ITEM 1: Update from Contractor <br />Dewatering: Dan opened with information on the meeting with the environment people. Dave <br />reported that he has talked to GRI about the dewatering. Dave expects to meet with them on <br />Monday. Stan is helping Dave with some numbers for the estimate. Emery & Sons will review <br />the estimate to ensure that it isn't overdone. <br />This issue will be revisited when we go out for the RFP. Dan has been discussing this with <br />CenturyWest, to ensure that they have the right personnel on hand when the soil is coming out of <br />the ground. <br />~ We will have to file for the DE ermit for abatement soon. It takes ten da s far the ermit <br />QP Y P <br />process. We will be consulting DEQ about the dewatering. It will also require a DEQ permit. <br />Parking Structure: There was discussion around the excavation depth of the parking structure. <br />Dave reported that the footings are going down 20 feet below ground zero. Mike has told <br />CenturyWest that he has designed it for 18ft. <br />Len has the clearance at 8ft, l0in at this time. Certain areas will need a higher clearance, <br />including the visitor spaces. <br />ACTION: Len will call Mike and check on these numbers. <br />Telephones: There was discussion around the telephone system for the building. Randy has <br />asked Bob McCune to give him an estimate on installing 150 phones for his staff. Telephone <br />and data will be very inexpensive if the county does it. Tom is handling phone and data for <br />transit. Randy will get some estimates on the cost for RG. There is a conduit located close to <br />mid-block between the Courthouse and the Senator block. It must be preserved or re-established <br />after construction. The county's security system has the capacity to manage the new structure. <br />It will cost about $1,500.00 per door to set up. This is part of the ti cost. The numbers Randy is <br />quoting are high, based on remodel cost. There will have to be an analysis on the needs of the <br />structure and the total cost. <br />~r'* <br />Dan said that the budget will show the ti cost at $33s£ Randy is expecting the move in cost for <br />
