Andersen- Wyckoff, Salem Transit; Rachael Sheskey and Alan Costi , Arbuckle Costic Architects ~, ABSENT: Curt Pence, Pence/Kell Construction I', Y , I AGENDA: Updates ~ PROPERTY ACQUISITION: ~~~i Dan reported that the federal criteria and guidelines for acquisition of the Goodman ~'iand Liu properties have not been sent out yet. Goldberg has signed. ' Attorney Gordon Hanna has been approved by the county to negotiate compensat'iion issues with the tenants involved. He will be brought up to speed in the next week. i , Goldberg Property: The estoppel certificate was not signed by Monty VanderMa . He was sent a ~ letter on November 1, terminating his lease. Gordon Hanna has not hea.rd back fr m him yet. Mrs. Goldberg received a letter from Monty, which Dan stated was inappropriate. Monty should be dealing directly with his office, not Mrs. Goldberg. Dan reported that he thinks this can be esolved desirably. Escrow has been e~rtended to November 15. Liu Property: Centurywest has begun the environmental report. Liu gave the g~ ahead to contact tenants on October 29. This should take place in the ne~rt week. It was stated that it is very important to maintain open communication regarding the wine/liquor store. Dan stated that e cal issues aze not the projects problem. R.G. reported that he spoke with Helen Knoll, administrator or the FTA, who stated that if there were no signed leases, there is no federal responsibility. Dan s id he remembers hearing differently. Randy stated that maintaining the relationship with the community eems to be more important, perhaps, than some of the other issues. This relationship would cazry over to all other tenants. Federal regulations dictate that if the project is displacing tenants who even have potenti to sign a lease, they may be eligible to receive federal money. ~ Dan has talked to Gordon regazding the implied lease. R.G. stated that taking the "eas~ way out" would be more ideal than risking legal action. The Liu property is scheduled to close on November 30. Goodman Property: Dan stated that they received the offer back on the Goodman Iroperty two days ~ ago. R.G. is in possession of the signed agreement. Dan stated that they may need a evel 1 study on this property for the COP's.
