OREGON <br />..~ <br />~-~`.'~~, v~ <br />.=- <br />In the matter of authorizing )" <br />the Director of General Services ) <br />to proceed with the Courthouse ) <br />Square Project ) <br />RESOLIITION NO . ` ~ ~G ~ <br />This matter came before the Marion County Board of Commis- <br />sioners at a regular public meeting on August 21, 1996, to <br />consider authorizing the Director of General Services to <br />proceed with the Courthouse Square Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners held a public hearing <br />on August 21, 1996, and considered all of the testimony and <br />evidence presented by officials of Marion County and the Salem <br />Area Transit District, by the project coordinator, by the <br />project architect, by the county financial advisors and by <br />members of the public; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners finds that the Court- <br />house Square Project is financially feasible, based on the <br />information available at this time, and is in the public <br />interest; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners hereby <br />authorizes the Director of General Services to undertake the <br />following: , <br />1. to proceed with negotiations on the purchase of the three <br />Senator Block parcels in private ownership; <br />
