Randy Franke would like this report as factual as possible before it is released in final form.
~ Regarding the Berrey/Frey ethics/conflict of interest issue, the same approach will be applied.
Review for accuracy before final approvals aze given to send reports to SPOC. Randy Curtis
indicated that the Berrey report and the transit report on ethics have been sent to both Dan Berrey
and Bill Frey for comments on accuracy. These reports will not be forwarded with the agenda to
SPOC for ne}rt week.
Another item for staff to be thinking about is how and to whom we will disseminate the reports we
are generating on this project. Besides SPOC, who should receive copies? We need to recover
credibility and bring these issues of allegations of wrong doing to a close. Randy Franke and Cazol
Fischer will be meeting ne~rt week to hone in on the public information campaign and will bring in
a recommendation for staff as a starting point for discussions.
Ra.ndy Franke has had a conversation with 7ustice Peterson and reports there is no question in the
Justice's mind that a recommendation for public vote means the project is dead. He feels the
majority of the committee understands this as well, but some members may still wish to entertain
and discuss this issue. Both county and transit boards will get together to discuss this further.
R.G. Andersen-Wyckoff asked for a status of the issue of attempting to guide the chronology of
questions that SPOC will review in their process. Billy Wasson and John Whittington will
schedule some time with Justice Peterson to review.
~ Agenda for SPOC
Staff is comfortable with Billy and Sheryl working out agenda with Justice Peterson. Billy will
take transit memo with proposed questions and put as an agenda item for SPOC ne~rt meeting and
let Justice Peterson make recommendation. Billy and John will work out other agenda items after
tomorrow's meeting.
Sheryl added that Justice Peterson chose not to put public comments as a separate item on the
agenda, but will address andlor allow any one who wishes to address the committee time to speak
during the Other Business heading at the end of the meeting.
Meeting adjourned
~
