Century
West Engineering agrees with the points made in that letter and would like to clarify the status of
our remedial activities.
Three reports will be prepared to document the recently completed pre-conshuction remedial
~ activities at the Courthouse Square site:
1. Corrective Action Plan for the Chevron parcel;
2. Underground Stora.ge Tank Decommissioning Report for the Liu parcel; and
3. Pre-Construction Remedial Activities Report for the remainder of the Courthouse
Square block.
These three reports aze currently undergoing final review and production and will be submitted to
the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) shortly after March 16, 1998. We
anticipate a response from the DEQ's review of theses three documents within one month from
submission.
While Century West cannot predict the DEQ's response, we anticipate that the three documents
will be successful in achieving site closure from the DEQ. Further remediation of the 17 azeas
addressed in the pre-construction remedial activities is unlikely, although some groundwater
~
L E A D I N G T H R O U G I-I E F F E C T I V E S O L U T I O N S
826 N.E.
