Billy Wasson pointed out another item of concern on the schedule would happen in the fall. The
timing of the bond sale and awarding of the construction contract will be critical decision points.
~ With the schedule being pushed back 15 working days, it puts awarding the contract towards the end
of December. There is concern about the interface with the political leadership elections for the
county. Randy Franke recommended that after the primary, we start to intensify our educational
process for the candidates. Transit suggested that the candidates be invited to attend the joint
meetings with 7CT and CAC.
Melvin Mark will update the schedule with today's changes and have it available for staff at ne~rt
week's meeting.
4. B et
Another copy of the budget was prepared to be given to staff. After review, there were some
errors/changes in the budget that need conection prior to distribution. One significant change was
an increase in remediation costs of approximately $500,000 based on documentation requested from
fiscal. Randy Curtis and R. G. Andersen-Wyckoff indicated concern that this figure was too high.
Randy requested that David Hartwig and Elyn Lyon have an opportunity to review this information
for accuracy. John Whittington had a concern that the total amount of the project budget had
increased. The budget spreadsheet had lost all formulas and one was not re-entered causing this
error. The budget will be revised and distributed at next week's meeting.
6.
