Facilities
Cary Heer
Mary B. Pearmine
that accept contaminated soils are few, the closest being Riverbend Landfill in
Yamhill County, who has agreed to accept the soil in question.
ADMINISTRATIVE
OFFICER
Ken Roudybush
The actual amount of contaminated soils is unknown, but engineer reports
estimate there will be approximately 3000-4000 ton that will require transport
to the landfill. The contract price is $22.50 per ton, for an approximate cost
between $67,500 - $90,000.
I recommend the approval of the contract with Riverbend Landfill Inc. at the
cost of $22.50 per ton to dispose of the contaminated soils from the Senator
block. I further recommend that this contract be granted through Resolution
#96-4R, approved January 31, 1996, which authorizes the exemption of
contracts from the competitive bidding process for the Courthouse Square
project. A copy of the resolution is attached for your reference.
Thank you for your consideration.
100 High Street NE, Room 5321 • Salem, Oregon 97301-3665
