Filing the
partition has been held due to the Owner's (Dick VanGrunsven of H.D. Aviation) logistical problems in
getting required sanitary sewer to the tract he was proposing to sell. The County has been very
gracious in allowing the extended time to file after pins were in the ground.
VanGrunsven now indicates that logistical problems have still not been solved and even then, the
configuration of a partition would most likely not be the same. Accordingly, we had suggested that it
would be best to close proposed PLA Case No. 02-35 and pull the pins.
At first blush, your office indicated we should revise the PLA to just a survey and record, because the
pins had been in the ground so long and could possibly have been picked up by other surveyors (the
pins would have been of little value inasmuch as they would have not yet been recorded).
After further review, it is our understanding that you have authorized us to pull the pins because they
are out in the airport and it is very unlikely other Surveyors have tied them.
Accordingly, we have pulled the pins and the Owner does not intend to file PLA Case No. 02-35.
Sincerely,
Marlin J.
