Assist in developing and maintaining health education materials and resources. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Work under the general direction of a supervisor who assigns and reviews work for conformance to <br />departmental policies and procedures. May also take direction from a Health Educator 3. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision is not a responsibility of positions in this class. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Works with various community agencies and facilities to increase their knowledge of public health <br />concepts and services. <br />2.Assists individuals interested in public speaking, providing them with basic information and <br />methods for presentation. <br />3.Conducts public health information sessions in established public forums. <br />4.Participates in establishing ongoing education services in areas of recognized need. <br />5.Functions as a public health advocate in group and individual settings. <br />6.Provides support in initiating programs in health education. <br />7.Assists in compiling data for use in educational programs and in preparation of media releases. <br />8.Assists in the selection, preparation and distribution of health education materials. <br />9.Provides support in creating and staffing exhibits and displays. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
