<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Scale Attendant <br />Class Code: <br />345 <br />Bargaining Unit: 06 - Marion County Employees <br />Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />Established Date: Jun 1, 1983 <br />Revision Date: Sep 6, 2012 <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$14.70 - $19.64 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br /> Non-Exempt 06 Administrative SupportPublic Works <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Works at a county-operated disposal site or transfer station weighing vehicles on a computerized scale, <br />issues weight tickets, makes change, and performs other duties as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of a Supervisor, who reviews work for conformance to standards. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of others is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Directs incoming vehicles to computerized scales. Determines vehicle weight by observing digital <br />read-out. <br />2.Makes weight ticket for vehicle. <br />3.Reweighs empty vehicle by observing digital read-out. <br />4.Calculates fee according to volume of load, as set forth by predetermined schedule of fees. <br />5.Collect fees and makes change. <br />6.Keeps accurate and complete records. Compiles daily cash and credit charges. <br />7.Makes daily deposits. <br />8.Answers questions from the public and gives information. <br />9.Provides information on recyclable materials. <br />10.Maintains cleanliness of the scale booth.
