<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Deputy Sheriff Parole <br />and Probation <br />Class Code: <br />Advanced <br />274 <br />Bargaining Unit: 07 - Federation of Oregon Parole <br />and Probation Officers <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$27.27 - $38.33 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br />Non-Exempt 04 Protective ServicesSheriff <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Performs professional corrections work of a difficult nature with adult clients in the Corrections Program; <br />investigates, counsels, and manages clients in the community; performs other duties as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of a supervisor who reviews and evaluates work for adherence to <br />professional standards through conferences and analysis of work produced. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification; may provide leadership <br />to case aides, interns and volunteers as required. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Manages clients utilizing available services and sanctions; takes a lead role in conferring with <br />others familiar with facts relating to individual cases. <br />2.Conducts personal interviews with clients and families to ascertain risk/need/responsivity issues of <br />the client; develops case plans with clients; maintains chronological case histories; confers with <br />spouses, families, employers, and other service agencies relative to client needs; conducts <br />interviews and investigations of clients on probation, parole, or post-prison supervision. <br />3.Performs pre-sentence investigations and/or special investigations for the court and makes <br />recommendations; appears in court as required. <br />4.Confers with supervisors, other social welfare agencies, schools, churches, public health agencies, <br />law enforcement agencies, and others relative to individual cases in outlining treatment and care <br />programs. <br />5.Prepares written reports and maintains Corrections Information System (CIS) records necessary to <br />the effective operation of the program. <br />6.Provides coaching and training to Deputy Trainee employees and/or to support staff. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
