Performs other related work as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the supervision of a Trial Team Supervisor, who assigns work, reviews performance, and <br />advises on unusual or difficult problems. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of others is not a responsibility of positions in this class. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Prosecutes misdemeanors and felonies. Reviews police reports and makes initial charging <br />decisions. Prepares cases for trial, including contacting witnesses and reviewing the case; <br />prepares pretrial motions. Performs legal research. Presents cases to Grand Jury. Appears in <br />court on criminal and traffic cases. <br />2.Initiates probation revocations arising out of convictions. <br />3.Assists in representing the State in post-conviction relief hearings involving misdemeanor <br />convictions. <br />4.Provides law enforcement officials with legal advice in selected areas. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Graduation from an accredited school of law; AND <br />2.Participation in internship/clerkship with a law firm (preferably a District Attorney's office) involved <br />in litigation of criminal cases; OR <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
