It was discovered that the existing drainlines were compromised by a placement of a
shop over the end of the drainfield. To bring the system up to current standards, an ALTERNATIVE
TREATMENT system is required to properly treat the effluent. Please see the signed revised approved
site plans dated September 14, 2018. A test pit was also evaluated to establish a future repair area.
Please see the field worksheet for specific installation details.
Under these conditions, an ALTERNATIVE TREATMENT TECHNOLOGY (ATT) System with
TREATMENT STANDARD#1 is required to adequately treat sewage effluent under DEQ rules. ATT
Systems are devices connected to a septic system. They are designed to provide pre-treatment of
effluent to reduce the level of bacteria prior to dispersal into a drainfield. They use mechanical circulation
to provide a high level of treatment. ATT Systems are installed in soils where effective soil depth,
saturated soils, available space, or other site conditions are severely limiting.
This Permit is for a system designed to serve a single family dwelling with a maximum of 4 (four)
bedrooms. Peak sewage flow into the system is limited to a maximum of 450 gallons per day, with an
average sewage flow of not more than 225 gallons per day. Premature failure of the treatment system
may occur if either of these flow quantities is exceeded. If, for some reason, you expect your domestic
household water use may exceed these flows, it is advisable to increase the size of the treatment system.
SYSTEM TYPE: Delta Whitewater DF50 as per approved plans
SERVICE CONTRACTS: The owner of an ATT system must maintain a service contract with a
maintenance provider certified by the manufacturer to service and maintain the onsite system. A service
contract must be entered into before the system is installed and must be maintained until the system is
decommissioned. The service contract must provide for a minimum of four inspections and service visits
by a maintenance provider scheduled once every six months over a two-year period to inspect, adjust,
and service the ATT. The maintenance provider must submit an annual report and fee. Please review
OAR 340-071-0345 for full requirements.
AN EFFLUENT LIFT PUMP WILL BE REQUIRED to install the septic system disposal field in the
approved area and at the required depth. Detailed instructions for dosing tank/effluent pump installations
are available in our office. The electrical wiring to the pump and alarm must be installed in accordance
with the appropriate Electrical Code. The electrical work must be done under a Marion County Electrical
Permit and must be inspected and approved by a Marion County Electrical Inspector. The work must be
left uncovered and accessible for inspection. The electrical inspection includes the connections to the
pump and alarm in the dosing tank, the wiring in the trench and the connections in the structure.
THE ATTACHED SEPTIC TANK ABANDONMENT FORMMUST BE COMPLETED AND RETURNED TO
OUR OFFICE. The septic system installer must complete and sign the form and attach a copy of the
receipt from the septic tank pumping service for pumping the tank.
4/2/19:3:56:56PM Page 2 of 3 ONS_OnsiteCSCpr
