System plans <br /> reflect the stakeout and are approved as submitted. Please refer to the signed approved plans dated June 13, <br /> 2018. Any deviation from the approved plans must be authorized by this office prior to installation or the permit <br /> may be voided. The required inspection schedule is attached to this permit. It's the responsibility of <br /> applicant/installer to coordinate these requirements with all others in OAR 340-071-0220. <br /> This approval is for a system designed to serve a single family dwelling with a maximum of 4 bedrooms. Peak <br /> sewage flow into the system is limited to a maximum of 450 gallons per day,with an average sewage flow of <br /> not more than 225 gallons per day. Premature failure of the treatment system may occur if either of these flow <br /> quantities is exceeded. If,for some reason,you expect your domestic household water use may exceed these <br /> flows,it is advisable to increase the size of the treatment system. <br /> Specific Requirements: <br /> ATT Pretreatment Unit: Advantex AX20 RT as per approved attached plan. <br /> SERVICE CONTRACTS: The owner of an ATT system must maintain a service contract with a maintenance <br /> provider certified by the manufacturer to serve and maintain the onsite system. A service contract must be <br /> entered into before the system is installed and must be maintained until the system is decommissioned. The <br /> service contract must provide for a minimum of four inspections and service visits by a maintenance provider <br /> scheduled once every six months over a two-year period to inspect,adjust,and service the ATT. The <br /> maintenance provider must submit an annual report and fee. Please review OAR 340-071-0345 for full <br /> requirements. <br /> GRAVELLESS ABSORPTION TRENCHES ARE REQUIREDas part of this installation. Hole spacing in the <br /> pressure distribution piping will be 24 inches on center or less. A minimum 2-foot squirt height is required at <br /> the remotest orifice. Green tracer wire is required above the piping and each line must end with a long sweep <br /> elbow and flushing orifice with removable cap at or above finished grade. Each pressure lateral must have at <br /> least one inspection port with minimum diameter of 6 inches. A barrier to prevent burrowing animals from <br /> entering the absorption chambers is required. <br /> TANK RISER: The tanks must be installed with watertight risers extending to the ground surface or above. <br /> Components must be easily accessible for servicing and maintenance. <br /> ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION OF THIS SEPTIC SYSTEM. Detailed <br /> instructions for dosing tank/effluent pump installations are available in our office. The electrical wiring to the <br /> pumps and alarm must be installed in accordance with the appropriate Electrical Code. The electrical work <br /> must be done under a Marion County Electrical Permit and must be inspected and approved by a Marion <br /> County Electrical Inspector. The work must be left uncovered and accessible for inspection. The electrical <br /> inspection includes the connections to the pump and alarm in the ATT unit and the dosing tank,the wiring in the <br /> trench and the connections in the structure. <br /> A CURTAIN DRAIN(GROUNDWATER INTERCEPTOR)IS REQUIRED as part of this system to divert <br /> groundwater from the drainfield. The curtain drain trench must be constructed a minimuml2 inches wide by 42 <br /> inches deep with 30 inches of clean drain media placed over a 4 inch perforated pipe(ASTM Specification F <br /> 405, D 2729 or F 810). Drain media must be placed a minimum of 2 inches under the pipe. The drain media <br /> must be covered with filter fabric. Outlet pipe must be rigid,smooth-wall, solid PVC pipe meeting or exceeding <br /> ASTM Standard D-3034. The outlet must be fitted with a flap gate or rodent guard. The curtain drain must be <br /> located at least 10 feet up slope from the disposal field and must discharge through a watertight non-perforated <br /> pipe beside or below the disposal field. A minimum separation of 10 feet is required from the septic tank if the <br /> tank is located up slope of the curtain drain and 5 feet 8 the tank is located down slope of the curtain drain. <br /> DO NOT INSTALL SYSTEM DURING WINTER MONTHS(Nov.1—March 1)The geographical area in which <br /> the property lies is considered a risk to installation during winter months. Therefore,for this installation a <br /> Marion County Onsite Wastewater Specialist must specifically approve soil moisture conditions at this site for <br /> installation to occur during the period from November 1st to March 1st.
