Building
"* Inspection Division Marion County
Onsite Wastewater Review
OREGON
PUBLIC WORKS
Activity Number: 555-18-002476-INQY Date: December 18,2019
Project Address: 10664 South View Loop SE,Jefferson
Parcel 1 of 2 Property Line Adjustment Case No. 17-027; TL 093W10D 01900
Completed By: Claudia R Hill, REHS, Onsite Wastewater Specialist
SEPTIC SYSTEM RECORD REVIEW
This record review was conducted in conjunction with Property Line Adjustment Case No. 17-027. This
review is for the septic system on tax lot 1900. The proposed adjustment is from 1.70 acres to 2.37 acres.
Marion County file records show a septic system was installed in 2003. A Certificate of Satisfactory
Completion for Permit No.02-09798 recorded a 1000-gallon septic tank, 1000-gallon dosing tank, sand filter
unit, 180 lineal feet of drainfield line and an upslope curtain drain.
An Existing System Evaluation Report provided by Affordable Septics completed April 9,2018 indicated the
system was working satisfactorily following minor maintenance.
I conducted a site visit on April 3, 2018. The location of the existing lines was evident, the boxes were
exposed for inspection, and repair lines were staked. Stakes were present along the proposed property line
and met the required ten foot separation from system and repair area.
THIS RECORD REVIEW IS BASED ON THE INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY THE APPLICANT.
Please refer to the signed approved site plan dated December 17, 2019.
THE APPROVED SEPTIC SYSTEM AREA MUST BE PROTECTED from any vehicular traffic, livestock
and farming activities. Other activities such as logging, excavating or filling, driveway placement or any
similar activities may also damage the soil in the area and adversely affect the septic system approval. The
areas of the initial septic system and the future repair area must both be protected.
THE SEPTIC TANK SHOULD BE PUMPED AND INSPECTED by a licensed septic tank pumping service
when sludge and scum accumulation reaches no more than 30%of tank volume. Pumping every 3-5 years is
an average interval. The septic tank is a reservoir for the solid materials in the sewage waste stream.
Excessive accumulation of these solid materials in the septic tank will cause the solids to wash out of the tank
and into the drainfield. This will cause irreversible damage to the drainfield and will eventually lead to a
system failure.
5155 Slverlon Rd NE—Salem,Oregon 97305-3802—Phone(503)588-5147—Fax(503)588-7948
