<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Behavioral Health <br />Nurse 1 <br />Class Code: <br />557 <br />Bargaining Unit: 04 - Oregon Nurses Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$32.84 - $41.92 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br />Non-Exempt 02 ProfessionalsHealth <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Provides nursing services in behavioral health programs; including assessment and care of clients as a <br />part of the treatment plan; evaluates medication effectiveness and other health care needs. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the supervision of the Health Clinical Supervisor or Medical Director; may work under the <br />lead direction of a Behavioral Health Nurse 2 who assigns duties, establishes goals and reviews results. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1. Participates, as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team in the evaluation of consumers' <br />behavioral health needs, the development of treatment plans, and the delivery of behavioral health <br />services. <br />2. Provides skilled nursing assessment and medical supervision of consumers who use medications <br />as part of the treatment plan; evaluating the effectiveness of the medications, side effects and any other <br />medication related concerns. <br />3. Evaluates the results of treatment interventions based on feedback elicited from consumer and/or <br />family members, reports from treatment team members, behavioral observations, or reports from other <br />providers. <br />4. Provides consultation and education to staff and other service providers in the areas of medications <br />and health care. Provides general health education to consumers, staff and the community. <br />5. Assesses health education needs of the consumer and develops teaching approaches appropriate <br />to the individual consumer's abilities.
